This project is the product of a joint
venture with Mid-America Development Partners and The Harp Group.
The 21-acre, mixed-use development is located at the southeast corner
of Milwaukee Avenue and Lake-Cook Road in Wheeling, Illinois. The
anchor of the development is the Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel
which opened to the public four months ahead of schedule on October
12, 2006.
The Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel
is a 412-room, four-star hotel and conference center, including
over 35,000sf of banquet and meeting space with 3 separate banquet
kitchens (two of which are kosher kitchens), fitness facilities,
swimming pool, business center, gift shop and dining options such
as Osteria di Tramonto, Tramonto Steak & Seafood, and the RT Lounge all by The Harp Group’s restaurant
affiliate, Cenitare Restaurants. The retail portion of the project,
known as Prairie Crossing, includes a Claim Jumpers restaurant,
two other restaurant pads, a branch bank facility and over 24,000sf
of inline retail shop space. The hotel is operated by a division
of Starwood Hotels & Resorts International, Inc. |
